Carlton’s model 4012 series is a four wheeled self-propelled unit designed to deliver maximum cutting power in hard to get to areas. Carlton Model 4012’s heavy-duty construction is evident in its weight – 1,550 pounds – as much as some manufacturer’s tow behind units.
Model 4012’s hydraulic steering and four-wheel stance combine to offer unmatched stability and maneuverability. A powerful hydraulic drive system provides a fast walk ground speed that gets you to the work and back quickly. This compact machine has a width of 35 inches, allowing it to fit easily through standard backyard gates. Model 4012 incorporates many of the features found in larger Carlton Models including a direct drive hydraulic pump, hardened bushings and shafts, counter balance valves on the lift, swing and hydraulic drive circuits.
Like all Carlton Models, the 4012 series uses high capacity tapered roller bearings on the cutter wheel and jackshafts, which provide long life and the ability to purge grease without damaging the seals. The 4012 series is available with a variety of engine options including: a 27 Horsepower Kohler Engine, or the 29 Horsepower Lombardini Diesel Engine.
